Abstract

This concept paper presents the PRO-BIJAK BM Conceptual Framework (Development-Gamification-Innovative Malay Language), a structural guide for educational technology application development that outlines the potential integration of digital gamification elements and technoentrepreneurial strategies in Malay language teaching and learning. Language structure components such as grammar and vocabulary risk being perceived as unengaging by digital generation students when delivered solely through conventional one-way approaches. To address this issue, the framework was constructed through a literature-based conceptual analysis synthesizing five core elements: (1) the Malay Language Curriculum and Assessment Standard Document (DSKP) as the content core; (2) Social Constructivism Theory as the interactive environment foundation; (3) Self-Determination Motivation Theory (SDT) and Cognitive Load Theory (CLT) as intrinsic motivators and cognitive regulators; and (4) the Input-Process-Output (IPO) Model as the software development guide structure. Specifically, this paper proposes the design specifications for the "Bijak BM" mobile application, incorporating structured game mechanics, digital storytelling, interactive UI/UX interfaces, and sustainable commercialization plans via Freemium models and Businessto-Business (B2B) marketing. The primary contribution of this framework lies in providing a comprehensive conceptual roadmap connecting language pedagogy theory with the realities of the local educational technology (EdTech) market.
