Halatuju Pelajar TVET: Pengaruh Minat Terhadap Niat Kerjaya Pelajar Teknologi Automotif Di Kolej Vokasional Daerah Johor Bahru

Bidang teknologi automotif merupakan salah satu disiplin ilmu yang berkembang pesat di seluruh dunia, terutamanya dengan kemajuan teknologi yang pesat dalam industri automotif. Minat pelajar terhadap subjek teknologi automotif menjadi aspek penting dalam menentukan niat kerjaya mereka dalam bidang ini. Kajian ini bertujuan mengkaji hubungan antara minat dan niat kerjaya pelajar dalam bidang teknologi automotif di sebuah Kolej Vokasional dalam daerah Johor Bahru, Johor. Objektif utama kajian adalah untuk mengenal pasti tahap minat pelajar terhadap subjek teknologi automotif dan niat mereka untuk bekerja dalam bidang menservis automotif. Kajian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan populasi seramai 134 pelajar kohort Program Teknologi Automotif di sebuah Kolej Vokasional. Kajian ini menggunakan instrumen soal selidik dengan skala Likert 5 mata untuk mengukur persepsi minat dan niat mereka. Data yang dikumpul dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan inferensi untuk memahami hubungan antara faktor yang dikaji. Hasil kajian menunjukkan tahap minat dan niat pelajar berada pada tahap yang sangat tinggi. Analisis inferensi mendapati terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara minat dan niat kerjaya pelajar. Minat yang mendalam terhadap sesuatu bidang meningkatkan motivasi intrinsik pelajar dan seterusnya mengarah kepada niat untuk mengejar kerjaya dalam bidang tersebut. Kesimpulan ini memberi implikasi penting kepada institusi pendidikan dalam menarik dan mengekalkan minat pelajar dalam bidang teknologi automotif.
